"If you are feeling stuck, stressed, anxious or depressed, talking to a therapist can really help. Having personal experience of therapy myself I know the huge difference it can make."
Therapy can help with a range of issues such as stress, loss, insomnia, depression, panic and a wide range of anxiety related conditions. It can also help with anger management and relationship problems. Perhaps you need some support to get you through a life event or you may just feel things are 'getting on top of you'.
I work with adults, young people and children, offering therapy appropriate to your needs. I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental space; a space that will be yours, where you will be listened to and where we can gain a clearer understanding of your life events and behaviours.Let's Talk
My Associations & Accreditations
BABCP is the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. It is the lead organisation for CBT in the UK. BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Psychotherapists have achieved a high level of competence in cognitive and behavioural methods, which has also been independently verified. Therapists need to meet strict criteria to become accredited by the BABCP. These include being a member of a specified core profession, following minimum training standards, having a sustained commitment to the theory and practice of cognitive and behavioural therapies and also maintaining appropriate clinical supervision arrangements. Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists follow the BABCP standard of Conduct, Performance and Ethics. Visit their site at: www.babcp.com
The BACP is a large organisation that many counsellors around the UK are registered with. They're not only a charity but also an accrediting body that set certain standards and codes of ethics for counsellors and psychotherapists to adhere to. If counsellors are accredited by the BACP it means they have completed a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association. The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member, Member (MBACP), Accredited Member (MBACP Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Visit their site at: www.bacp.co.uk
This is the professional Association of EMDR clinicians and researchers seeking the highest standards for the clinical practice of EMDR in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In order to train as an EMDR therapist, it is a requirement that the person is a trained mental health professional with accreditation from their professional body (e.g. British Psychological Society and HPC, GMC (Psychiatrists), UKCP, BABCP, BACP, IACP, etc). Visit their site at: www.emdrassociation.org.uk
ACTO - Association for Counselling and Therapy Online
ACTO promotes, maintains, improves and advances online counselling and psychotherapy as a recognised method of therapeutic delivery within the mental health professions. ACTO is the association for therapists and counselling working online therapeutically. Visit their site at: www.acto-org.uk
BPS - The British Pychological Society
The British Psychological Society is a registered charity which acts as the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK, and is responsible for the promotion of excellence and ethical practice in the science, education, and application of the discipline. Thank you so much for the support and guidance. It’s really helped to build my confidence, set personal goals and be assertive. I now can go out with friends, enjoy life more and look forward to the future.
I have found therapy has changed my life. I no longer feel disconnected from the world, on my own and isolated through EMDR. I have made sense of the traumatic events in my past and now look forward to the future with optimism.
Thank you so much for working with my 15-year old daughter. At school she suffered a great deal of anxiety because of exams and this affected her confidence with friends, her self-esteem and she found it hard to manage her social-media. As a result of therapy, she effectively can manage stress due to exams, her self-esteem has improved and she now deals with social media in a more resilient manner.
